CAT in Later Life - new feature article

Grandparents and grandchildren with flowers and kissesCan Cognitive Analytic Therapy be a helpful therapy as we enter our older years?  Ailsa Lord and Stephanie Davis Le Brun share their positive experience of this in a feature article on CAT in Later Life.  They reflect "While none of us can change the past, we have found CAT to be an empowering therapy for those navigating the changes that older age can bring."  Some adaptations may help keep CAT as accessible as possible for older people with possible sensory, health or or mobility issues.

Ailsa and Stephanie's 'Applications of CAT' feature is published ahead of a more comprehensive article accepted for publication in ACAT's Reformulation journal.  For those wanting to read more, they list a number of key references in this area.  Many have been penned or co-authored by Michelle Hamill, and with permission, she also shares some quotes from experts-by-experience who have made use of CAT as a therapy.

Members can access a more extended list of resources on CAT as applied in later life services in the member-only section of the site, but Ailsa and Stephanie's article is available to all - read it at CAT in Later Life.
