CAT Reflective Practice: Skills for Facilitation

19th June 2026
St Thomas Centre, Manchester , M12 6FZ

Venue:

St Thomas Centre, Manchester M12 6FZ

Summary:

A one day workshop led by David Harvey and Kate Freshwater, Cognitive Analytic Therapists, Supervisors, and Consultant Clinical Psychologists.  Reflective practice is a growing area in health, social care and third sector/charity services. CAT reflective practice, specifically, is widely offered by CAT practitioners and psychotherapists. It tends to draw on the general model alongside general reflective practice principles. However there have been few opportunities for CPD specifically in this area.  David and Kate’s workshop aims to fill this gap for CAT therapists. It provides an opportunity for you to reflect on the role of the reflective practice facilitator, practise in a safe learning environment and develop your own development plan. There will be opportunity to reflect on common pitfalls, questions and anxieties.

Fees:

ACAT member :: £130.00  Non-ACAT member :: £145.00. The fee includes lunch and refreshments.  [You or your employer can request to be invoiced. This incurs an additional £20 fee.]
