Goodbye to ACAT's Public Engagement Pilot Site

The 'Engage' site goes offline on 17th October 2025

ACAT's Public Engagement Pilot Site emerged in early 2021 as ACAT was experimenting with ways to better fulfil our charitable aims to increase awareness and understanding of cognitive analytic therapy amongst health professionals, service providers, and particularly the public.  The design and approach of that resource was developed in consultation with stakeholders, including people who had experienced CAT as a therapy.  Two collaborative workshops were facilitated by Mark Brown, and workshop members gave us further feedback as the pilot site developed. Many CAT colleagues generously wrote and shared articles, images, and even animations, alongside content drafted by Alison Jenaway and Rhona Brown, who comprised ACAT's Public Engagement team at that time.  We thank everyone who helped develop and update that public-facing resource.

Since our new website's launch here in May 2025, most of the content on the old Public Engagement pilot site has now been transferred over to the 'CAT Explained' section.  The page listing NHS services offering CAT was not possible to maintain, so this now exists in a more modest format.  But the majority of articles have now found a home here, or inspired new updated features.

The Public Engagement site goes offline this Friday, 17th Oct.  Many thanks for all the engagement there over the last four or five years and we hope you will find what you need here on our new site instead.
